Important: By submitting the membership application form, the applicant agrees to abide by all the rules, regulations, bye-laws, and directives of the Jeypore Chamber of Commerce & Industry as in force from time to time.
1. Membership Eligibility
Membership of the Jeypore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is open to businesses and individuals operating within Jeypore Town:
- Any individual engaged in trade, commerce, industry, or services within Jeypore Town and its immediate surrounding areas.
- Proprietorships, partnerships, private limited companies, public limited companies, cooperative societies, and other legal entities engaged in business.
- Any person of good character and sound financial standing who supports the objectives of the Chamber.
The Chamber reserves the right to reject any application without assigning reasons.

All fees are non-refundable. The Chamber may revise membership fees from time to time by resolution of the Governing Body. Members will be notified of any change.
3. Obligations of Members
All members shall:
- Pay membership fees promptly on or before the due date (31st March each year for Annual Members).
- Abide by the Rules and Bye-Laws of the Chamber as amended from time to time.
- Conduct their business in a fair, ethical, and legal manner consistent with the motto of Fair Trade Practice.
- Not bring disrepute to the Chamber by any action, conduct, or association.
- Attend General Body Meetings and actively participate in Chamber activities.
- Notify the Chamber Secretariat of any change in business name, address, contact details, or nature of trade promptly.
- Maintain decorum and respect towards other members and Chamber officials.
4. Rights of Members
All active members in good standing shall be entitled to:
- Receive the official Trade Membership Certificate issued by the Chamber.
- Vote at Annual General Body Meetings and Special General Body Meetings.
- Contest and vote for elections to the Governing Body, subject to eligibility conditions.
- Access the Member Portal, member circulars, and Chamber documents.
- Avail of the advocacy services, dispute mediation, and facilitation offered by the Chamber.
- Participate in all Chamber-organised events, trade fairs, seminars, and workshops.
- Receive information about government schemes, subsidies, and policies relevant to business.
5. Renewal of Membership
Annual membership must be renewed on or before 31st March of each year.
- Members who fail to renew by the due date will be treated as lapsed members and will lose access to the Member Portal and Chamber services.
- Lapsed members may re-apply for membership, which shall be treated as a fresh application.
- The Chamber shall send renewal reminders via SMS, WhatsApp, and email.
6. Termination / Cancellation of Membership
Membership may be terminated in the following circumstances:
- Non-payment of membership fees after due notice.
- Conduct unbecoming of a member or bringing disrepute to the Chamber.
- Conviction of a criminal offence involving moral turpitude or fraud.
- Violation of the Rules, Bye-Laws, or directives of the Chamber.
- Voluntary resignation submitted in writing to the General Secretary.
Termination shall be carried out by a resolution of the Governing Body. The member concerned shall be given an opportunity to be heard before such action.
7. Certificate of Membership
- The Certificate of Membership is the property of the Chamber and shall be surrendered upon cancellation or lapse of membership.
- The certificate is valid only for the period of membership and shall not be used after expiry.
- Misuse of the membership certificate shall result in immediate cancellation of membership and may invite legal action.
8. Member Portal & Digital ID Card
- Each approved member will be assigned a login (phone number + password) for the JCCI Member Portal.
- Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
- The digital member ID card available through the portal is for official identification purposes only.
- Any misuse of the digital ID card shall result in immediate suspension of portal access.
9. Privacy & Data
The Chamber collects member data (name, address, contact details, business information, Aadhaar, GSTIN) solely for membership administration, directory purposes, and communication. This data will not be shared with third parties except where required by law. Members may request correction or deletion of their data by writing to the General Secretary.
10. Governing Body Decisions
All decisions of the Governing Body of the Chamber shall be final and binding on all members. The interpretation of these Terms & Conditions shall vest with the Governing Body, whose decision shall be final.
11. Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising out of membership shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jeypore, Koraput (O).
12. Amendments
These Terms & Conditions may be amended, modified, or supplemented by the Governing Body from time to time. Members will be notified of material changes through official communication.
